Equipping young people with the education and skills to move out of poverty
Each community has its own challenges and opportunities for pathways out of poverty. With our local teams, community committees and expert advisors, we design programs to overcome the hurdles for young people locally.
Our holistic approach gives young people in Southern and Eastern Africa the best chance of real, long-term change to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their community through four pillars:
GENDER EQUALITY
Girls and young women are equipped to choose their own pathways to become healthy, positive and prosperous leaders.
EDUCATION
Students have the opportunity and ability to finish school and seek sustainable livelihoods.
WELLNESS
Young people are mindful of the choices they make about their health and wellbeing.
LIVELIHOODS
Young people are able to access pathways to sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship,
skills training and further education.
